It’s holiday shopping time, and today I’m sharing some awesome gift ideas that any food lover would enjoy! If you want to check out last year’s holiday gift guide, you can find it right here. Also, if you’re looking for a printable holiday wish list template, I’ve got one in my new Etsy shop that you can check out.
Enough talk – let’s take a look at this year’s holiday gift guide!
1. KitchenAid 7-Cup Food Processor – $169.99
I have an older model of this food processor, and it makes my life in the kitchen so much easier. KitchenAid products tend to have good quality motors, which helps them chop, stir and puree with minimal effort. I haven’t had any issues with mine overheating or shutting off. If you don’t have a food processor, this would be a great gift to yourself!
2. Maille Holiday Gift Set – $12.99
This pretty box would be a nice gift for hostess or a friend who loves to cook. The holiday gift set includes Maille’s classic A L’Ancienne Old Style mustard, as well as a keepsake jar and wooden spoon. Unfortunately it is not available for purchase online, but it will be available at leading supermarkets.

3. Brown Eggs and Jam Jars – $32.00
I am in love with this cookbook by Aimee Wimbush-Bourque (the blogger behind Simple Bites). Aimee has a beautiful writing style that brings you straight to her urban homestead, where she taps maples trees to make her own maple syrup and hosts harvest dinners for her friends and family. Don’t fall under the assumption that this book isn’t relatable – you might not be tapping maple trees in your backyard, but you can relate to her love for her family. Oh, and the recipes are pretty darn good too!
4. RICARDO Slow Cooker Gift Set – $89.99
I’m tempted to buy this gift set for mom, because the lid on the old one that we have is wobbly. This slow cooker has some nice features, like a digital countdown timer and the ability to program your cook times. I haven’t tried this appliance myself, but I’ve had the opportunity to talk with Ricardo a few times and I’m confident that he wouldn’t sell anything that was good quality. I also like that you get a cookbook with slow cooker recipes with this appliance, so you can get cooking with it right away!
5. Voluspa Lidded Glass Candle – $30
I like to keep a candle in my kitchen because they can help get rid of bad kitchen smells (raw onions etc.). This Makassar Ebony & Peach candle smells AMAZING and it looks cool too (the wax is black!). Last year I included the Voluspa Goji & Tarocco Orange candle in my gift guide, and it’s still one of my favourites! I buy my candles from Chapters and right now they are offering up to 50% off select candles on their website.
6. Squish Candies Santa’s Pick Gift Set – $14.00
This Canadian candy company is known for their great-tasting gummy candies. I’m partial to their Cuba Libre flavour (rum and cola!) but I haven’t tried a flavour that I didn’t like yet. This festive set comes with Mulled Wine, Strawberry Rhubarb and Cranberry Elderberry Bears gummies.
7. Microplane Herb Mill – $29.95
If I had seen this at the store, I would have been skeptical… but this actually works! I had the chance to test one out this summer at a media event, and it worked beautifully. It’s great when you want a sprinkling of parsley over pasta or finely chopped tarragon for a sauce.
8. Microplane Garlic Cutter – $14.95
My mom likes to grate garlic on a rasp when she’s making soups and stews, and the garlic becomes so fine that it practically melts. But of course the difficulty is doing that is that garlic cloves are tiny, so it’s very easy to grate your finger. This garlic cutter is a genius little invention that gives the same results, but without the risk of injury. It also comes with a little scraper to help you get every delicious bit of garlic into your dish.
9. Green & Black’s Ginger Chocolate – $10.25
When I was writing my thesis in university, my advisor would bring squares of Green & Black’s chocolate to our meetings. I don’t know how he knew about my stress-induced chocolate cravings, but I was grateful for the treats! Green & Black’s chocolates have been special to me ever since then, and I love so many of their flavours. This Organic Dark Chocolate with Crystallized Ginger is festive and spicy, perfect for a food-lovers stocking!
